La Maison TROUILLARD came into being at the end of the 19th century, created by the extraordinary dynamism of one man, Lucien Trouillard. Monsieur Trouillard gave his life to his work and quest for knowledge. Born in1879 in Vinay, he learnt the art of the caviste at a young age, in the small champagne house of Pierry. It was there, when barely 17 years old, that he started to acquire the foundations of his craft. Quickly, he mastered the different stagesof viticulture and he offered his services to winemakers. It was during this period in 1896,that he first produced his very own bottles of champagne. An insatiable worker, he incessantly worked the vineyard with his small team, performing the tasks in vinification. Appreciated for his qualities, he moved up the ladder slowly, becoming the cellar-master. After the troubles of the Great War, after demobilisation, he returned to Epernay in February 1919. He re-established himself in the sale and distribution of wine from premises in the Rue Placet. With his company, the Sparnacienne Viticole, he realized a first production of 50,000 bottles. A new champagne house was born: thus were the origins of theMaison Trouillard.

The power of Pinot Noir and the suppleness and fruit of Pinot Meunier, are allied with the elegance of Chardonnay, to give this cuvée it’s radiance and lightness. A captivating floral nose and an elegant palate seduce with notes of toast. The contrast between it’s lightness and power renders this cuvée extremely harmonious.
